Join IronWorkers and Arise Chicago members in their fight for a first contract at Portillo’s!
Portillo’s is a beloved Chicago-based chain restaurant. But a year after winning their union election, Portillo’s workers are still battling for union recognition and a first contract.
Portillo’s continues to refuse to recognize their union and objects to the results of the election, even after the NLRB ruled twice in favor of the workers and found no merit in the company’s objections.
Portillo’s is also under federal investigation by the National Labor Relations Board for discrimination and threats, surveillance, and interrogation.
Despite these challenges, and inspired by this fight, a second production unit is now organizing! It’s time to put the pressure on!
Portillo’s operates over 70 locations across the United States and generates nearly $700m in revenue. The CEO Mike Osanloo just bought an 8 million dollar mansion in Chicagoland.
Let’s take Labor Notes power and solidarity to Portillo’s front door!
