HB3726: Workplace Extreme Temperature Safety Act With climate change driving more extreme temperatures, this critical legislation addresses growing health and safety risks for indoor and outdoor workers:

• Establishes clear temperature thresholds that trigger employer obligations for both indoor and outdoor work environments

• Requires employers to develop comprehensive written safety plans by January 2026 with meaningful employee input

• Mandates essential workplace protections including access to water, rest breaks, and cooling/warming stations

• Requires emergency response procedures and worker training on recognizing symptoms and understanding risk factors

• Creates strong anti-retaliation provisions to protect workers who exercise their rights

• Establishes firm enforcement mechanisms through various agencies
